Sensitivity of bulb tissue section for detection of Fusarium causes Moler disease of shallot

Abstract Moler caused by Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cepae is a seed-borne disease, so the disease intensity in field depend on amount of initial inoculum infected bulbs as seeds. Therefore, detection pathogens important to determine potential their transmission. The aim this research was evaluate sensitivity bulb tissue shallot based pathogen Infection Index incubation method agar media detect presence F. f.sp. cepae. experiment conducted using completely randomized design with five replications and three varieties shallots (Thailand, Bima, Bauji). Each treatment unit placed Petri’s dish diameter 20 cm, containing 40 mL PDA which 16 pieces tip, middle, base tissues were placed, incubated for 7 days. Pathogen parameter that observed macroscopically microscopically. results showed section tested higher than other part cepae shallot. It indicates basal major infection side pathogen.
